String ball
SBLegendaryHypothetical: never detected, game threshold is fictional
Fact from the codex
Hypothetical: in string theories with a low string scale, a collision could create a highly excited string that would decay thermally into many particles. Such an event with very many particles would be direct evidence for strings. Not detected so far.
Professor Quark says
“A string ball. If particles were tiny vibrating strings, enough energy could tangle a knot of them that decays into many particles. String theory is elegant but unproven. So don't take the result literally – but do take it with enthusiasm.”
